NEW VENUE! BARCHORDS Issue 33, July 12, 2016

12 Jul 2016 by Kathleen McGuire

NEW LOCATION & PAY-AS-YOU-GO OPTION
We’re trying a new weekly location in an effort to attract individuals who don’t want to trek 5 minutes in the cold, wintry weather. BRING A FRIEND to join us!

Here’s the “official” message via Courtney:

Dear Choir members present and past,
This is a note to let you know that we are trialling two changes to the Choir.

For those who can’t enrol for the whole term, feel free to come on the day and pay $20 (credit card payment form available).

We are looking for a new home on Level 1 ODCE. We have secured bookings for the Neil McPhee Room for most dates this term but will also be singing around the big table in the Bar Council Chamber in week 2 & 3. Look for the notices on the day [and in the TeamApp Calendar].

Dr Kathleen McGuire will lead the choir again this term. For those who have been missing in action, please join us when you can for our “one joyful hour”.

Contact Courtney Bow to enrol or Emma Swart for any questions. Term 3 commences on Thursday 14 July – Thursday 15 September.

KUMQUAT JAM SUCCESS!
Great news: Amanda Wynne and Laura Colla have made fundraiser kumquat jam (pictured) at $10 per jar for our beloved choir! It sold out immediately, raising about $120! If anyone has more kumquats, please contact Amanda Wynne.

MUSIC
We have developed a lovely set of music and will soon be ready for another appearance. Pauline has a possibility for a new gig at a bar in Southbank, so stay tuned. In the meantime, here are some links for our newer pieces:
